Western Carolinas League was a Class A League which operated from 1963 through 1979.

1963      Gastonia NC, Greenville SC, Lexington NC, Rock Hill SC, Salisbury NC, Shelby NC, Spartanburg SC, Statesville NC

1964      No teams entered or left the league.

1965      Thomasville, NC entered the league; Statesville left the league.

1966      Statesville, NC entered the league; Shelby left the league.

1967      Salisbury and Thomasville left the league.

1968      Greenwood, SC and Salisbury, NC entered the league; Lexington and Statesville left the league.

1969      Shelby, NC and Statesville, NC entered the league; Salisbury and Rock Hill left the league.  During the season, the Statesville franchise moved to Monroe.

1970      Anderson, SC and Sumter, SC left the league.

1971      Monroe, NC entered the league; Gastonia left the league.

1972      Charotte, NC and Gastonia, NC entered the league; Monroe and Sumter left the league.

1973      Chareston, SC and Orangeburg, SC entered the league; Charlotte and Greenville left the league.

1974      No teams entered or left the league.

1975      Gastonia and Orangeburg left the league.

1976      Asheville, NC entered the league; Anderson left the league.

1977      Gastonia, NC and Shelby, NC entered the league.

1978      No teams entered or left the league.

1979      Greensboro, NC entered the league; Charleston left the league.
