Troy Jamieson Patton (born September 3, 1985 in Spring, TX) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles.

Professional careerEdit

Patton was drafted in the ninth round by the Houston Astros in 2004. In 2007, Patton played in Minor League Baseball for the Corpus Christi Hooks and Round Rock Express. He made his MLB debut with the Houston Astros on August 25, 2007.

On December 27, 2007, he was traded by the Astros along with Matt Albers, Dennis Sarfate, Luke Scott and Mike Costanzo to the Baltimore Orioles for Miguel Tejada. [1]

Before the 2008 season began, it was discovered that Patton had torn the labrum in his throwing shoulder. Following the surgery, he missed the entire 2008 season.
