Vaquedano was drafted by the Red Sox in the 35th round of the 2002 amateur draft out of Vernon College. He currently is in the bullpen at the AAA affiliate Pawtucket Red Sox.

Vaquedano throws side arm and has a high eighties fastball, a good changeup, slider and curve. However, he has suffered against left handed batters throughout his career.
