Jeremy Jeffress (born September 21 1987 in South Boston, Virginia) is a minor league baseball pitcher in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. He was the selected by Milwaukee as the 18th overall pick in the 2006 Major League Baseball draft.

Jeffress signed a contract with a $1.55 million signing bonus in 2006, but has twice been suspended for testing positive for "a drug of abuse," and currently is serving a 100-game suspension in the minor leagues.

His repertoire features a fastball that tops in the mid-90s and a hard-breaking slider. He is 20-21 with a 4.20 ERA in 64 minor-league games.

On August 30 2007, Jeffress was suspended for fifty games after testing positive for "a drug of abuse."[1]

In 2008, he started on the Brevard County Manatees' roster on the restricted list. On August 6 2008, the Milwaukee Brewers organization announced that Jeffress was promoted to their Double-A team the Huntsville Stars. He began the 2009 season with Huntsville, but struggled and was sent back down to Brevard County in May 2009.

On June 29 2009, Jeffress was suspended for one-hundred games after testing positive for "a drug of abuse."[2]
