Matthew Micah Hobgood (born August 3, 1990 in Glendale, AZ, USA) is a minor league baseball pitcher who is notable for winning Gatorade High School Baseball Player of the Year Award in 2009.[1]

Hobgood was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round (fifth overall) in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft out of Norco High School. He pitched for the Bluefield Orioles that year, going 1-2 with a 4.72 ERA in eight games started.
