Dustin Michael Ackley (born February 26, 1988 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is the number two draft pick of the 2009 MLB draft, selected by the Seattle Mariners. He is a natural outfielder, though he played first base his junior season after having Tommy John surgery in August 2008.

Ackley attended North Forsyth High School and the University of North Carolina. As a member of the Tar Heels, Ackley participated in the 2007, 2008, and 2009 College World Series. Ackley was named the first baseman for the All-Tournament Team in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Ackley's father, John Ackley, played in the Boston Red Sox organization.[1] He is a finalist for the 2009 Golden Spikes Award, given to the nation's top amateur baseball player.

He was the second selection in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft.[2]
