Donavan Tate (born September 27, 1990) is a former baseball outfielder.
Tate attended Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres third overall in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He was released by the Padres in 2015 and played in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization in 2016, never making it past Class-A Advanced.
Tate committed to play baseball and football at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[1]
Tate is the son of former NFL tailback Lars Tate.[2]
