Craig Biggio is a retired player who played his entire 21-year career with the Houston Astros, mostly as a second-baseman, but also as a catcher and outfielder. He finished his career with 3060 hits and 668 doubles - and played his final major league game on September 30, 2007. Biggio is a likely first ballot Hall of Famer since he ranks high on several career lists (including hits, runs scored, and doubles) all all men with 3000 hits since World War II (except Pete Rose, who was not even placed on the ballot) were elected in their first year of eligibility - even Robin Yount, who was the 3rd ranking candidate in the year he was first listed on the ballot.
