The 2009 Bowling Green Falcons season will be the --th team to represent Bowling Green State University in college baseball. It will involve the Falcons attempting to improve on their success in 2008, in which they finished 32-20 (16-8 MAC), good enough for a share of the East Division and MAC Regular Season titles. The Falcons would be eliminated in the Quarterfinals of the conference tournament, posting a 1-2 record in tournament play. Danny Schmitz will return for his 18th season as the Falcons' skipper.

Preseason Edit

Shortstop Ryan Shay was recognized as one of the top seven shortstops in the country by Ping!Baseball. Ping!Baseball named Shay to its Preseason All-Ping! team, making the "For your consideration..." category under the third team.[1][2]
